![]() In my belief, it's not a big problem to expert programmer of windows.īTW:How to set gridline feature of nView Desktop Manager? I am using nVidia chipset but don't find this option in nView Desktop Manager settings. There are two additional maximize button on the top right cornor of each window: "maximize to left", "maximize to right". Once the features are activated, you can use the nView custom menu commands 'Maximize to grid' and 'Send window to' to size/move windows within the grid. You'll need to enable support for this though, when editing gridlines, click on Options and check the features you want to use. Gridlines does support this, for example maximizing to only part of a display, or moving a window to a specific part of the display. It is great, much better than the nViada tools. So if you came up with a product like that then I would be there. I would like each area in the grid to operate as a separate desktop. This is interesting feature.īut not really what I am seeking. I have an nVidia car so I played around with Gridlines. If your laptop has an Nvidia video chipset, take a look at the display gridlines feature of the nView Desktop Manager, this allows you to partition displays. I'll consider this feature for UltraMon 3. 4 x 17" LCDs would be more costly to purchase than one large plasma that could be plit into either 4 or 6 desktops. It would be great to be able to plit a large display into several managable desktops that were visible all at the same time. This could be taken to a different level if a PC was connected to a large LCD or plasma. Or to do some web develpment on one side and then run IE on the other side to test the WEB app. ![]() The goal is to be able to have outlook open on one side, and have say word open on the other. Then I would like it to appear as 2 monitors side by side with a res of 700x900 each. So if the Wide screen was a res of 1400x900. I guess it is like trating the wide screen monitor as though it was like 2 monitors side by side. And also be abale to swap the windows from one half/side of the monitor to the other. Wes I would like to be able to open windows to only half of the monitor on a wide screen monitor. Would you want to be able to maximize windows only to one half of the monitor, etc? It is very usefult for 17" Widesreen notebooks. I would like to locate some software that will split a Widescren Monitor into 2 desktops. Post Reply Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Split WideScreen Monitor Into 2 Desktops To prove it I disconnected the S-video cable and sure enough no nView display options. You are here: Home > Multi-Monitor Resources > Forum nView will not be an option if the cable is not connected. I can,t help that I am over 65 and not a techie. No I have the nView options because the laptop sees the TV. Moral of the story is check the cable to make sure it connected and connected properly. No I have a laptop and the connector is connected correctly meaning the s-video cable is now on the left. ![]() Well when I had the PC the connector was always upside down and the s-video cable was on the right. You see I have a connection that will except the s-video cable either in or out. I should have had the s-video from the PC to the TV. Well it was not right I had the s-video from the TV to the PC. She says after three days trying to get it to work with no luck why don't you just check one more time. So my wife says are you sure the s-video cable is correct.
